We are already settling into the rush of events we have planned for the year. It was lovely to see so many people attending both days in February – Robin Ihnen’s silk paper making workshop and Carolyn Clausen’s ‘Blue by You’ artwork packs for the Craft Alive display to be held from Thursday, 8 – Saturday, 10 May, at Broadmeadow Racecourse Hall, 100 Darling St, Broadmeadow. So many great ideas came out of these vibrant meetings, workshop and activity.
There has been a change of dates for the next exhibition ‘Out of the Blue’, which has been brought forward to late May 28. Due to this we are asking for all Expressions of Interest forms to be completed and handed to Treasurer, Merrie at the March meetings: Monday, March 3 and Saturday, March, 15, with the payment for each. Thank you to those who have already attended to this and we look forward to another wonderful display at the Charlestown Library.
I realize it’s early in the year, but this is notice that I will be stepping away from this role with the group at the next AGM. This gives you all plenty of time to think about how this newsletter report can be improved and updated! We all need change and often change simply appears out of the blue for some of us! We will have a Brainstorm session at both March meetings to engage our brains and produce as many ideas as possible for ‘Out of the Blue’. Hoping to see you then and have fun creating!
