A travelling exhibition has been compiled from fibre artwork
completed by NCEATA members during 2007 especially for this show.
The theme for 2008 is:
CHANGING LANDSCAPES
This exhibition features many individual works created by various artists. Each piece is an original, designed and executed by the artist. A wide variety of techniques are represented.
The individual works have been compiled into an exhibition which, I feel, will prove to be as interesting and stimulating to other textile artists and sewing enthusiasts, as it has been in previous years.
The exhibition will travel from place to place via Australia Post in its own suitcase that is also highly decorative. Each piece of work fits exactly within the suitcase in its own packing.
Groups are able to borrow the exhibition for two weeks. At some venues it may be displayed on a wall and at others eg at schools the works can be passed around for individuals to see closely how each piece is constructed.
NCEATA will pay the costs incurred by the outward freight but please note that the organization receiving the exhibition will be responsible for repacking and paying return freight to the next address shown in the information package
If you wish to book the Travelling Exhibition during 2008, please let me know your preferred date An alternative date is advisable in case your first choice is already booked. Please supply a contact name, phone number, street address and email address [if you have one] for delivery of the suitcase at the time of booking
We appreciate your continued interest and welcome new recipients to this exciting art form I look forward to hearing from you.
