First formed in Newcastle over thirty years ago the Newcastle Creative Embroiderers and Textile Artists have been bringing together dynamic textile artists of all skill levels to share, learn and exhibit.

NCEATA MAJOR EXHIBITION "TEXTILE TOUCH-UP" IS NOW SHOWING AT WALLSEND LIBRARY IN NEWCASTLE, OPENING 6pm NOVEMBER 6th. PLEASE COME AND VIEW OUR MEMBERS' FIBRE ARTWORKS WHICH WILL BE ON DISPLAY UNTIL THE END OF13th DECEMBER 2008. OPENING HOURS ARE: MON-FRID: 9.30am TO 8pm; SAT: 9.30am TO 2pm.

Workshops cover embroidery, machine embellishment, dyeing, felting, beading and elements of design. Most are given by our own members but there are also special workshops taught by nationally recognised teachers.

All members receive a monthly newsletter which details the workshop information for each meeting and to inform everyone about upcoming exhibitions and members’ news. There is an extensive Library of informative and inspirational books and magazines.

WHEN: The third Saturday and the third Monday
of each month from 10am to 2pm

Membership fees are $45 annually
